Barakallahu feek shaikh, for this beautiful reminder and insight. Although fasting and praying reach only as far as benefiting the individual doing them, while good character is above and beyond as it reaches everyone, could such acts of worship be included as part of good conduct itself, directed towards Allah(SWT)? As in the Hadith where Rasoolullah (S) responds to Aisha “Should i not love to be a grateful slave?” i.e as the purpose of standing in tahajjud even though his (S) past and future sins are forgiven?
